Create an RDM Driver

For the local (JNI) connection to an RDM database, the RDM executables will need to be in the system path before executing DBeaver.

OS Variable Example
Windows PATH C:/Raima/RDM/14.1/bin
Linux LD_LIBRARY_PATH /opt/var/raima/rdm14.1/bin
MacOS X DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH /opt/var/raima/rdm14.1/bin
  1. Start DBeaver
  2. From the main window, Choose "Database" -> "Driver Manager"
  3. On the Driver Manager dialog box, choose "New"

  4. Name the driver "RDM" (or whatever you like) in the Driver Name editbox
  5. Click "Add File"
  6. Choose the Raima JDBC driver (rdmjdbcJDK8-14.jar) you wish to use with DBeaver. The driver is located in the java-lib directory of the RDM installation (e.g. C:/Raima/RDM/14.1/java-lib).
  7. Click "Find Class." Choose "com.raima.rdm.jdbc.RDMDriver" as it is displayed for the Driver class.
  8. Click "OK"

  9. Click "Close" to close the Driver Manager dialog box.
