Install

Start by installing RDM as described in UNIX, Linux, or OS X Installation.

Configure

Then, for all type of builds using Linux, Unix, or OS X as your development host, you will need to configure a build directory as described in Using "configure".

Optionally, if you are only doing a hosted build for Linux or OS X and want to build the examples and tutorials using CMake (a Cross-Platform Build System) instead of the GNU build system, please consult CMake Build System instead.

Make

The last common step between all type of builds using Linux, Unix, or OS X as your development host is to do a make as described in Using "make".

Next Step

After you have completed the Unix specific steps as described above you are done unless you are also going to cross compile using project files. Please see section "Next Step" in Using "make" or section "Cross Compile using Project Files" in Building RDM.
