name

The name option key contains the value that will be used for accessing TFS either by the sharedmem protocol or the tcp protocol. If the TCP/IP protocol is to be used, the value must contain a valid TCP/IP port number. If the value is not a valid port number, the TCP/IP protocol will not be initialized even if the tcp is set to ON.

Default Value

If the name option is not defined, the default value of 21553 is used.

TFS Instantiation Options

This option can only be set when the TFS instance is started. Some of the functions that can be used to set this option are listed below:

• RDM_CPP::TFS::Alloc()
• rdm_rdmAllocTFS()
• rdm_rdmAllocTFSWithMemBuf()

If the rdm-tfs utility is being used to instantiate a TFS, command line options are used to set options affecting TFS startup.
